PHILADELPHIA, April 9 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Franklin Institute,
Pennsylvania's most-visited museum, has unveiled its first branding campaign
as part of an initiative to highlight its expanded demographic profile, its
heightened issue orientation and its newly-revitalized exhibits and
facilities. Designed to intrigue visitors with the tagline "Curious?" the
campaign includes thought-provoking images that will be featured on local
television, print, outdoor and online media -- and features a new logo. The
new branding campaign, which is part of a new far-reaching museum effort
entitled "The New Franklin Experience," was created by the award-winning
Philadelphia-based creative team at Red Tettemer.

"The New Franklin Experience," built on advances in communications and
technology, includes a series of specific initiatives and exhibit and theater
renovations that The Franklin will announce in the next months. The Franklin
is home to a growing roster of evening lecture programs and initiatives that
make science more central to the political debate, both regionally and
nationally. All efforts are focused on creating an evolving museum experience
that leverages cutting-edge technologies and advances in scientific knowledge
to create continuous, integrated and immersive programming both within The
Franklin and outside its walls. The campaign is expected to cement public
perceptions of The Franklin as a place for the intelligent exchange of ideas,
excitement, intrigue and just plain fun.

The Franklin has doubled its attendance in the last five years. Upgraded
facilities, which range from a re-built Giant Heart to a 5,000 square foot
retail store to a new public website to blockbuster exhibits like Titanic,
BodyWorlds and Tut and a technologically advanced 3D/HD/Blu Ray-ready Franklin
Theater have generated unprecedented attention and audiences. Since 2000, over
70,000 square feet of visitor experiences have undergone renovation.

Online, The Franklin, one of the most visited educational websites in the
world, will be launching a new portal, themed for the curious, in May.
