ANCHORAGE, Ala.--(Business Wire)--
The Ron Paul 2008 Republican presidential campaign today announced
the formation of the Alaska Veterans for Paul Coalition.

Over 35 Alaskan war veterans have endorsed ten-term Texas
Congressman and Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul, and have
signed onto the Alaska Veterans for Paul Coalition today.

"Congressman Paul supports the troops, and is a leading defender
of veterans' rights," said Paul Alaska state political director Craig
Bergman, himself a veteran. "Many of Congressman Paul's most dedicated
supporters in Alaska are veterans, and today I'm proud to announce
that dozens of these patriots have banded together in their public
support of Dr. Paul."

Ron Paul served his country in the Air Force and Air National
Guard. He is also a founding member of the Vietnam Veterans of America
chapter in Hallettsville, Texas. Regarding Dr. Paul's military service
and dedication to veterans' rights, President Ronald Reagan said, "Ron
Paul is one of the outstanding leaders fighting for a stronger
national defense. As a former Air Force officer, he knows well the
needs of our armed forces, and he always puts them first. We need to
keep him fighting for this country."
