PCTEL Unveils High Performance Wideband and Multi-Band Omni-Directional Antenna
BARCELONA, Spain--(Business Wire)-- PCTEL, Inc. (NASDAQ:PCTI), a leading provider of wireless solutions, today announced the introduction of a high performance wideband and multi-band omni-directional antenna for cellular applications. The antenna provides broadband and multi-band coverage for cellular technologies including various GSM, CDMA and UMTS bands in a single robust housing. This highly efficient antenna (VSWR less than 2.0) implements a unique design to promote flat 4dBi gain and consistent patterns across the bands. The antenna allows deployments of pico-cells with optimal coverage across multiple bands using one single antenna. It is also ideal for indoor coverage, telemetry, fixed wireless gateways, and remote applications. The antenna operates in both the 806-960 MHz and the 1710-2170 MHz bands. "As operators migrate to 3G services, there is a need for multi-banded products to support the transition for voice and data services," said Jeff Miller, General Manager of PCTEL's Antenna Products Group. "Our new products reflect PCTEL's commitment to work directly with customers to develop high-quality and cost-effective solutions that meet their needs," added Miller. PCTEL will showcase the new Antenna along with its other antenna products and its entire portfolio of wireless solutions at the 2008 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. The PCTEL booth will be located at 2C71 in Hall 2. About PCTEL PCTEL, Inc. (Nasdaq:PCTI), is a global leader in propagation and optimization solutions for the wireless industry.
