ATLANTA--(Business Wire)--
The U.S. Small Business Administration announces today that its Centers will
close Wednesday, November 11 in recognition of Veterans Day. The Centers will
resume normal operating hours Thursday, November 12 to help individuals and
businesses in Georgia impacted by the severe storms and flooding that occurred
from September 18 through October 8, 2009.
Victims are urged to register with FEMA by calling 1-800-621-3362 (FEMA) or
1-800-462-7585 (TTY) for the hearing and speech impaired. "Those who were issued
an SBA disaster loan application should complete and return it before the
November 23 deadline even if they don`t want a loan. If the SBA is not able to
approve a home loan, they will be referred to FEMA for possible grant
assistance," said Frank Skaggs, Director of SBA`s Disaster Field Operations
Center in Atlanta.
"I encourage anyone who has not completed their disaster loan application and
needs help to meet with a Customer Service Representative at one of the Centers
located throughout the disaster area for one-on-one assistance," added Skaggs.
