Stacey David's GearZ(TM) Premieres on the SPEED Network, Saturday, February 23rd
NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(Business Wire)-- Rattletrap Productions is pleased to announce the move of Stacey David's GearZ(TM), formerly introduced in the early spring of 2007 on ESPN2s "Garage Block," to the SPEED network effective Saturday, February 23rd. The popular show, hosted by Stacey David, will now be shown on SPEED's Saturday morning automotive programming, the "Castrol Oil Engine Block", at 9:00 EST. Stacey David, former longtime host of Trucks! shown on the Spike network, introduced this high energy 30 minute show last year to millions of automotive enthusiasts gathering rave reviews for a show that invigorated the "how-to" automotive program format. David's unique on-air style, mechanical expertise, and broad coverage of high profile vehicles, is the exception to traditional automotive 'how-to' programming. The inaugural season available to over 90 million subscribers to ESPN2 was a strong success despite the lack of a consistent air-time. Now, fans of Stacey David's GearZ throughout North America and Canada will be able to watch this eye-popping show every Saturday morning at 9:00 EST. "The success of GearZ," says David, "is that we cover it all from muscle cars to hot rods, to trucks and bikes. If it is mechanical, you'll probably see it on GearZ. We're very excited about our premiere on SPEED, as it is the network that is solely dedicated to motorsports and everything automotive. The consistent airtime, block promotions and coverage in Canada precipitated our move to the SPEED network." The premiere show on SPEED is a behind the scenes look at one of the classic car chase movies of all time - Smokey and the Bandit, with some very special time with music legend, Jerry Reed. True to the format that has made Stacey David's GearZ a hit from the first day it aired, this season promises to be the most exciting yet, featuring interviews with the people associated with high profile vehicles, installations that will make you want to go out and build it yourself, and the historical background about vehicles that give depth to the story.
