CSIA Announces 'Celebrities' for Colorado C-Level @ A Mile High
DENVER, Feb. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- CSIA, the largest association in Colorado
representing the technology industry, announced today that more than 45
C-Level executives will be auctioned off at the association's second annual
C-Level @ A Mile High event. This networking event is presented by IBS and
will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 from 6:00 to 9:30pm at Invesco Field
in Denver.
C-Level @ A Mile High is open to professionals of all industries and all
levels, and promotes business and educational initiatives for the state's
technology industry. More than 500 people are expected and tickets are
available by visiting the CSIA website at www.csiaonline.com. Su Hawk,
President of CSIA, comments, "One of our key initiatives at CSIA is to build
the connections between technology executives and companies in our state, and
to increase the amount of business and overall working relationships between
them. We were very pleased that in just 60 days after last year's inaugural
event, more than $4 million was contracted, showing the importance of
connections as well as the immediate results of the networking. We need more
of that in our state, and CSIA works hard every day to create those
connections."
Attendees of the event will mingle with corporate IT executives, giving
businesses unique opportunities to meet leaders from the most prominent and
successful companies in Colorado. Attendees will also be invited to bid on
future one-on-one time with these "celebrities" as well as other exciting
silent auction packages. C-Level executives attending represent a variety of
organizations of varying sizes such as Level 3, IHS, Lockheed Martin, Sun
Microsystems, Western Union, Avaya Communications, eBags, TeleTech, Vail
Resorts, Ball Corporation, and Indigio Group. A full list of CIOs and
executives may be viewed at www.csiaonline.com.
"Based on the responses we've seen in the last year, if you're not at
C-Level @ A Mile High, you aren't serious about the technology industry of
Colorado," said Steve Foster, CEO of Business Controls, CSIA Board member and
2008 Chairman of the event. Foster adds, "Your support of the industry can be
as simple as attending this event. Even more important is the chance to impact
educational opportunities for Colorado students wishing to study Information
Technology. This type of support ultimately aids in growing business
connections as well as the industry's workforce from within the state."
Attending C-Level @ A Mile High and bidding on future exclusive time with
C-Level Celebrities does more than give attendees the opportunity to arrange
for face-to-face time with one of these CIO's. The event is one of CSIA's
major fundraisers during the year, supporting the organization's multi-faceted
initiatives to build, grow and ensure the IT industry is as strong as possible
in the state. In addition, this is CSIA's first major fundraiser for its new
CSIA/CSU Inspire to Innovate scholarships, which will help fund college for IT
students throughout the university.
CSIA is the strongest IT association in the state to educate, inform and
make aware how strong the industry is, including to student advisors so that
the future workforce sees the opportunities throughout the IT industry.
Tickets are required to attend the event and are available to the public
at www.csiaonline.com. CSIA member companies receive at least a 50%
discount on ticket purchases.
