SB Architects combines the experience of nearly a half-century of practice
with the energy and drive of a dynamic second generation of leadership.
Amidst an exciting era of change and growth, this venerable design firm has
seen the retirement of its founding partner, the emergence of a second
generation of partners, the birth of a new brand identity, the re-location of
its San Francisco practice to a new, expanded headquarters, and the
re-location of its Miami office to a larger space. Concurrently, it has over
doubled in size and billings, and has firmly established itself at the head of
the class in its two primary practice areas: hotels & resorts and urban
mixed-use projects. For the past two years, the firm has been listed among
both the fastest-growing companies in the San Francisco Bay Area and the
fastest-growing design firms in the United States.
SB Architects has built a long-standing reputation for excellence in the
planning and design of multi-family residential, mixed-use, hotel, resort, and
vacation ownership projects. The firm's portfolio of work includes projects
throughout the United States, in Mexico, South America, the Caribbean, the
Mediterranean, China, Indonesia, Egypt and the Middle East. With a combined
staff of 145 professionals in its two offices, SB Architects remains a
hands-on, design-oriented practice, well-known for site-sensitive,
contextually appropriate design. The firm has received nearly 200 awards for
