Upcoming initiatives including Open House Clinics are designed to boost
Pennsylvania's Children's Health Insurance Program enrollment and spread the
word about CHIP

PHILADELPHIA, April 25 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Urban League of
Philadelphia is proud to announce it has been invited to become a
Pennsylvania's Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) community marketing
partner. CHIP launched the search for partner organizations earlier this year
in an effort to expand CHIP's message and increase CHIP enrollment as part of
the Community Marketing Initiative.

The Urban League will support initiatives developed to inform members of our
community about CHIP's comprehensive health care benefits, including routine
doctor visits, immunizations, prescriptions, dental, eye care, hospital stays
and more, available to all uninsured Pennsylvania children and teens who
qualify for CHIP. To accomplish this goal, we plan to host Open House Clinics
where we'll assist parents in enrolling their children. The initiatives will
run through June and are set to begin on May 14, 2008 at 6:00pm at CCIS, 6350
Greene Street, Ground Floor in Philadelphia, PA 19144.

"We are excited to become a part of the CHIP Community Marketing Initiative
and look forward to doing our part to see that every uninsured child and teen
in Pennsylvania has access to the health care he or she needs," said Patricia
A. Coulter, President & CEO, Urban League of Philadelphia.

The Community Marketing Initiative was designed to augment CHIP's existing
partnerships with community organizations in order to boost CHIP awareness and
enrollment. CHIP's marketing team invited organizations with established
relationships in their communities to share plans for how they could reach
uninsured children and teens and get them enrolled in CHIP. As a result, nine
organizations from across the Commonwealth have been chosen to participate.

ABOUT CHIP
CHIP offers affordable, comprehensive health care coverage to all Pennsylvania
uninsured children and teens up to age 19. It offers coverage for services
including doctors' visits, hospital care, prescription drugs, vision, dental
and home health care. Many families do not have to pay for CHIP. Premiums are
affordable for all families because the premium payment is on a sliding scale
based on the families' income. There is no cost for families who qualify for
free CHIP. More information on the CHIP program can be found by calling
1-800-986-KIDS or by visiting www.chipcoverspakids.com.
