Gov. John Lynch Kicks Off General Election Campaign
WASHINGTON, Sept. 9 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Democratic Governors
Association (DGA) Chair Gov. Joe Manchin (W.Va.) today congratulated Gov. John
Lynch (N.H.) on his primary victory and the start of his General Election
campaign. One of the most popular Governors in America, Gov. Lynch enjoys
broad support statewide among Democrats and Republicans. He is widely
expected to win his third two-year term in November.
"The enthusiasm for John Lynch's leadership is loud and clear tonight,"
Gov. Manchin said. "In his four years as Governor, John Lynch has truly made
a difference for the people of New Hampshire. He lifted the veil of secrecy
around state government, championed strong ethics reform, and brought
lawmakers together to deliver common-sense results."
DGA Executive Director Nathan Daschle said, "Gov. Lynch has shown time and
time again that good policy equals good politics. His post-partisan success
leaves little doubt as to what direction the voters will go in November."
Gov. Lynch has earned a reputation as an effective leader. He is
investing in New Hampshire's economy and creating new jobs; strengthening
schools; expanding access to affordable health care; safeguarding New
Hampshire's environment; and keeping its neighborhoods safe.
"Governor Lynch is there working hard for the people of New Hampshire
everyday," Gov. Manchin said. "When New Hampshire has needed a leader,
Governor Lynch has been there. Through it all -- floods, tough economic times,
the threatened closing of a shipyard -- John Lynch was there for New
Hampshire."
"The nation's Democratic Governors join me in congratulating John Lynch on
the start of his General Election campaign," Gov. Manchin concluded. "He is
strongly positioned to win a third term this fall and continue his remarkable
work on behalf of New Hampshire's people."
