Questioned Why Eric Holder Even Considered Rich's Pardon Once He Learned He
Was A Fugitive. Kanjorski: "Did you know whether he was a fugitive?" Holder:
"I'm sorry, did I know what? Kanjorski: "Did you know whether he was a
fugitive or not?" Holder: "Yes." Kanjorski: "OK. Well, that's a rare
classification for someone seeking a pardon. I don't imagine there's a high
percentage points of petitioners for fugitives, is there?" Holder: "That's
correct. But, again..." Kanjorski: "Now, you're a sensitive lawyer, that would
ring a bell to you, then knowing he's a fugitive, the request was made of the
Southern District's office, and are you used to as deputy attorney general
being refused a meeting? I mean, I'm really surprised that a deputy attorney
general can call up one of these lonely federal attorneys and they say, 'Hell,
no,' and, OK. I would imagine if I called up and somebody turned me down to a
meeting I'd want to find out why they think they're running the department
