Exodus Follows Facebook's Beacon Roll-Out; Outrage at Privacy Violations

NEW YORK, Nov. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Capazoo (www.capazoo.com), the newestand most unique social networking and online entertainment Web site, todayissued an open letter to disgruntled Facebook members offering free VIPmembership and a privacy guarantee that rivals Facebook's Beacon function.

Tens of thousands of Facebook consumers expressed outrage when theironline holiday shopping became part of their Facebook news feed. Purchaseswere exposed, surprises were spoiled and an element of online privacy wasviolated in front of hundreds of thousands of Facebook members.

Facebook's Beacon reveals the purchases of Facebook members even when theyare not visiting the site. The function was designed to attract additionaladvertisers but instead outraged their membership.

Capazoo issued an open letter to disgruntled Facebook members earliertoday via their website and offered free VIP memberships by using the promocode "facebook" on their registration page.
