Evening to Feature Artistic Expression with a Focus on Animal Rescue
Organizations, Honorary Guest Actor Zachary Quinto
LOS ANGELES--(Business Wire)--
This Saturday on November 21, Los Angeles artist Rachel Schmeidler hosts the
charity event "Hollywood Least Wanted 3D" at the Rivera + Rivera Art Gallery
downtown. The theme of the evening is helping unwanted and abandoned animals in
need. The recent mortgage crisis has left so many animals homeless that the
animal welfare community, to describe the dire situation, created the term
"foreclosure pet phenomenon." Actor Zachary Quinto, star of the television
program Heroes and the actor who portrayed the young Spock on the hit movie Star
Trek, will be in attendance as an honored guest with his dog, Noah.
One hundred percent of raffle ticket sales and 50 percent of the proceeds from
the sale of artwork will go towards the participating rescue charity, the City
of Los Angeles' Animal Services division (http://www.laanimalservices.com/).
Donations are encouraged to be made prior to November 21 at:

In stark contrast to these animal photographs, Schmeidler will also exhibit
celebrity mugshots of her "Hollywood Most Wanted" series, presented for the
first time in 3D. "Hollywood Most Wanted" takes images of celebrities at their
most unglamorous moment-mugshots from their arrests for DUI, drug possession,
obscenity, and assault-and reinterprets them in a way that asks provocative
questions about celebrity, justice, and contemporary American society.
