Mayors to Discuss City and Federal Partnerships in the Midst of Economic Crisis

Orlando Fla. - With the current economic conditions front and center on
everyone's minds, four mayors will gather at the National League of Cities'
(NLC) Congress of Cities on Saturday to discuss cooperation and city
innovations.  The mayors will address sustainability, city and federal
partnerships, and how cities are responding to the current economic crisis. 
The event will be moderated by Michele Norris, host of National Public Radio's
"All Things Considered."

The mayors will each provide examples of the work they are doing on the local
level to respond to the needs of their citizens as revenues decline.  They
will talk about the strides they are making on projects, such as the Mayors'
Action Challenge for Children and Families, where each mayor sets measurable
targets for programs affecting children and their families.
