Nidec Appoints New Head of Investor Relations

KYOTO, Japan, Feb. 25, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Nidec Corporation (NYSE:NJ)
announced today that it has appointed Mr. Masahiro Nagayasu as the new head of
the Investor Relations Department of Nidec Corporation, effective March 1, 2008.

Mr. Nagayasu has been responsible for communications to financial community in
North America since December 2003, largely contributing to the development of
the Company's overseas investor base. As of March 1, 2008, he will be based at
Head Office in Kyoto, Japan to serve as the Company's primary investor relations
contact.

Also effective March 1, 2008, Mr. Shinji Yamada will succeed Mr. Nagayasu as the
Company's new North American investor relations contact based in New York,
U.S.A.
