What: A "Career Resources Fair for Young Workers" to provide
training resources and job opportunities. Demonstrations
from trade crafts including Laborers.

When: May 29, 2008
3:00 pm-6:00 pm.

San Francisco, CA 94112

Why: California has the largest labor market in the U.S. with
15.3 million jobs and within the next seven years, 830,000
jobs will be vacated due to retirements. Baby boom
retirements will have significant impact on the workplace
in the next two years.

Apprenticeship opportunities will be explained along with
demonstrations from several trades and crafts. The fair
will also educate individuals about workplace safety,
employment rights, and workers' compensation benefits.
