Tesco Corporation Announces Departure of Anthony Tripodo; Robert Kayl to be
Appointed Acting Chief Financial Officer

HOUSTON, June 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Tesco Corporation ("TESCO" or
"the Company") today announced that Anthony Tripodo, Executive Vice President
and Chief Financial Officer is leaving his position effective June 25, 2008 to
assume the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of
Helix Energy Solutions Group, Inc. Julio Quintana, President and Chief
Executive Officer of Tesco Corporation said, "Tony has made an outstanding
contribution at TESCO, and we wish him great success in his new position.
Effective upon Tony's departure, Robert Kayl, TESCO's Vice President and
Controller, has been named acting Chief Financial Officer. Bob has played a
key role in advancing TESCO's financial function in the last few years. We are
quite confident that Bob will perform capably in this role while the Company
undertakes a process to select a successor Chief Financial Officer."
Mr. Robert L. Kayl, 37, has served as TESCO's Vice President and Corporate
Controller since August 2007. He has been the Company's principal accounting
officer since April 8, 2008. Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Kayl
worked for one of the Company's subsidiaries as the Vice President, Tax and
Treasury from September 2006 until August 2007 and as Vice President, Tax and
Strategic Planning from September 2005 until September 2006. Prior to joining
the Company in 2005, Mr. Kayl worked for Noble Drilling Services Inc., a
subsidiary of Noble Corporation, as Tax Director.
