Paula Deen Makes Surprise Visit to Smithfield Plant

PLANT CITY, Fla., Dec. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Paula Deen met with about 250
United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) union members on Wednesday at the
Smithfield processing facility in Plant City, Fla. Deen arrived unannounced
to thank the Plant City workers, who produce her personal recipe Smithfield
Crackle Glazed Spiral Sliced Ham. Sales of this brand-new ham have exceeded
all estimates and the ham is now distributed nationwide. Deen is a nationally
known celebrity cook who hosts two cooking shows on the Food Network.
