FALLS CHURCH, Va.--(Business Wire)--
Altegrity Security Consulting (ASC) CEO William J. Bratton will be honored this
week, on Saturday, Nov. 7, by the Los Angeles Police Foundation at True Blue-the
foundation`s annual signature event-for preventing crimes, saving lives, and
building a stronger community as the Chief of the Los Angeles Police Department
(LAPD). Mr. Bratton joined ASC earlier this week after an eight-year tenure as
LAPD Chief. ASC is a new business unit in Altegrity, Inc.-the global screening
and security solutions provider-that provides products, services, and solutions
to law enforcement agencies and the federal government, both in the United
States and overseas.

This year`s True Blue gala is expected to draw more than 800 guests, including
business, entertainment and community leaders, police officers, civic officials,
friends, and supporters of the Los Angeles Police Foundation and former Chief
Bratton. The event also marks the grand opening of the new police headquarters
and the LAPD`s 140th anniversary. Conan O`Brien, host of the Tonight Show with
Conan O`Brien, will be the master of ceremonies.

Founded in 1998, the Los Angeles Police Foundation supports the LAPD by helping
establish business and individual partnerships within the community and by
providing additional funding not provided in the city budget for LAPD programs
and equipment. To date, the Los Angeles Police Foundation has awarded more than
$9 million in grants to the LAPD and scholarships to students preparing for
careers in law enforcement.

Mr. Bratton is the only person to serve as chief executive of both the LAPD and
the New York Police Department (NYPD). He has established an international
reputation for re-engineering police departments, creating solutions to
intractable challenges facing civilian criminal justice systems, and leveraging
technology to fight crime.

As CEO of ASC, Mr. Bratton will oversee strategic growth, recruiting, business
development, and program operations. ASC will assist USIS, Altegrity`s
government business, in broadening the range of products, services, and
solutions provided to law enforcement agencies and the federal government, both
in the United States and overseas. USIS has already trained more than 10,000
students in over 50 countries in police, anti-terrorism, and counterinsurgency
techniques, and presently has training teams operating in Iraq, Indonesia,
Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Colombia.

ASC and USIS are expanding their team of experienced law enforcement and
criminal justice system professionals interested in serving as independent
contractors on new contracts. For a description of the program, job
opportunities, and to complete a qualification profile through the web-based
