SANTA CLARA, CA, Feb 17 (MARKET WIRE) --
Degree Controls, Inc. (DegreeC), a leading global provider of thermal
management and cooling efficiency technologies for the data center, today
announced that representatives from its AdaptivCool division will give a
presentation on data center energy and computing capacity at TELADATA's
Technology Convergence Conference on February 19, 2009 at the Santa Clara
Convention Center.

AdaptivCool's presentation will begin at 2:30 PM.

Wally Phelps, AdaptivCool's Product Marketing Manager and "Airflow
Evangelist," will lead a presentation using a case study from a disaster
recovery site. Joining Wally Phelps will be Dan Wilson, President of
Wilson International Networking and former IT Manager for Osram Sylvania.

During the forty-five-minute interactive presentation, attendees will
learn how to ensure Thermal Peace of Mind(TM) in their data centers.

    Topics to be covered include:

-- Hot Aisle/Cold Aisle -- What you still don't know
-- Achieving additional computing capacity without adding Computer Room
    Air Conditioning Units (CRACS)
-- Using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Analysis as a planning tool
-- How to cut cooling-related utility bills by up to thirty percent

"We are delighted to be presenting at TELADATA's leading technology
conference. Given the state of the economy and the way IT budgets are
being slashed, we look forward to showing participants how to
cost-effectively reduce their data center energy consumption and increase
overall computing capacity without any major capital expenditures," said
Wally Phelps, Product Marketing Manager, AdaptivCool.

"As someone who used to be responsible for two data centers, I know what
it's like to run into a capacity problem and not have the budget approval
to significantly expand. At the disaster recovery site I was in charge of,
we were able to add capacity without a major expenditure. I look forward
to sharing this experience with attendees," said Dan Wilson, President,
Wilson International Networking.

    About AdaptivCool

AdaptivCool is the data center division of Milford, NH-based Degree
Controls, Inc. AdaptivCool's flagship technology, AdaptivCool Room Scale
Intelligent (RSIC), uses temperature sensors to send information to a
sophisticated Cooling Resource Manager that calculates minute-by-minute
cooling demand and controls data center airflow dynamically via floor- and
ceiling-mounted air movers, reducing electrical consumption for data
center cooling by up to thirty percent. In addition to RSIC, AdaptivCool
also offers HotSpotr, a packaged product that eliminates data center
hotspots. AdaptivCool's consulting services provide data center and IT
managers with the tools necessary to ensure Thermal Peace of Mind(TM) in
the data center. Services include CFD analysis, energy and thermal
monitoring, as well as general best practices to help data centers
achieve maximum efficiency. Additional information can be found at
