Cox Las Vegas Sponsors Town Hall Meeting

    LAS VEGAS, March 10 /PRNewswire/ --

    WHAT:   In response to the recent incidents of violence near area schools,
            Cox Communications, Las Vegas, is hosting a Town Hall Meeting on
            Wednesday, March 12 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium at
            K.O. Knudson Middle School.

            Among the scheduled panelists are Sheriff Doug Gillespie of the
            Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Superintendent Walt
            Rulffes of the Clark County School District, Assemblyman Moises
            Denis, president of Nevada PTA, Clinical Psychologist Robert
            Hunter, Ph.D and Mike Privett, father of Chris Privett -- a high
            school freshman who was killed in February following a shooting
            near his school.  The event is open to the public and will be
            moderated by Steve Schorr, vice president of public and government
            affairs for Cox Las Vegas.

            The Town Hall Meeting is intended to bring leaders and those with
            first-hand experience together to discuss the issue of violence in
            local schools and share ideas to address the crisis.  It will be
            broadcast live on Cox Channel 96 and at www.cox96.com via
            live streaming video.
