SEATTLE--(Business Wire)--
Yesterday, Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul addressed
members of the local business and financial community at a private
meeting on Lake Union.

The event was standing room only as Congressman Paul spoke about
the housing crisis, the declining dollar, and the path to economic
prosperity in America.

"We can overcome our current situation by returning to the idea of
free markets," said Ron Paul 2008 Washington state coordinator Maureen
Moore. "Ron Paul is the only candidate who understands the link
between economic freedom and economic prosperity."

Congressman Ron Paul is a member of the House Committee on
Financial Services. He also serves as the ranking member on the
Subcommittee on Domestic and International Monetary Policy, Trade, and
Technology as well as on the Subcommittee on Oversight and
Investigations. He advocates a return to sound money and a departure
from the current policy of central economic planning.
