Rollie Heath, Candidate for Colorado Senate, Tops $45,000 in Fundraising, Adds
Gabriela Nagy to Campaign Staff, and Begins a Serious Discussion of Top
Priorities in an Open Letter to Voters

BOULDER, Colo., Feb. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Rollie Heath (D), candidate for
the Colorado Senate District 18, announced that his fundraising topped $45,000
three months into his campaign and has addressed his top priorities and
campaign commitments to voters in an open letter posted on his web site,
www.rollieheath.com.
"My first priority is to deal with our state's fiscal policies," said
Heath. "If we are going to properly fund the priorities important to the
growth of Colorado, we must find a solution that deals with TABOR and other
fiscal constraints. I have the knowledge and the political will to take on
this challenge," said Heath.
Heath also outlines his goals for improving health care, education,
transportation, and the environment. "It takes strong leadership to accomplish
these goals," said Heath. "It takes a principled leader who leads through
inspiration, example, and perspiration. It also takes an ethical leader who is
collaborative and inclusive, one with a track record of building bridges. I am
that kind of leader. I have been an entrepreneur, a businessman, a civic
leader, a volunteer, a parent, and a husband. In each of these roles, I sought
and helped achieve long-term solutions."

Heath also announced the addition of Gabriela Nagy, CU student leader, to
his campaign. Gaby will work with Campaign Manager Maria Handley to coordinate
Heath's outreach and field activities. "Gaby is an inspiring young woman, and
I feel truly fortunate to have her as part of my team," said Heath. "Her
leadership as a student Democrat and as a role model for other young people
truly sets her apart, and I am honored to have her support."
District 18 includes Boulder, Gunbarrel, Niwot, Hygiene, and western and
northern areas of Longmont. The seat is being vacated by Ron Tupa (D), who is
term limited after two, four-year terms in the state senate.
