Canlis Shares the Cache Love to Treat Two Active Duty Soldiers to Valentine's Day Dinner Dates

An anonymous donor, who will enjoy Valentine's Day in the Cache,
Canlis' intimate, picturesque private dining space, has provided funds
which the restaurant is using to treat two active duty Army service
members, both of whom have recently served in Iraq, to spend
Valentine's Day at Canlis with their wives.

Sgt. Christopher Bagwell, on wounded leave since service in
Baghdad, Iraq, last fall, will be accompanied at Canlis by his wife,
Christie. Capt. Timothy Renahan and his wife will be dining at Canlis
as well. Capt. Renahan, following his most recent service in Baghdad
and Baquba, Iraq, since April 2007, was re-deployed to Ft. Lewis just
last month and took command of the rear detachment for 2nd Battalion,
23rd Infantry.

"On Valentine's Day, having a room as stunning as the Cache is
like sitting on a goldmine," said co-owner Mark Canlis. "The only way
to be good stewards of that kind of resource is to put it to good use
-- what better opportunity to support our troops than this? My brother
and I can't wait to have them in for dinner."

In its selection process, Canlis tapped into the help of the
American Legion, a non-profit organization of veterans of the United
States armed forces who have served in wartime. The Legion served as
the liaison between the restaurant and the armed forces in identifying
the most eligible candidates.

Canlis will furnish the entire Valentine's Day dinner for Bagwell,
Renahan and their respective partners.
