Statement on Cancellation of Today's Assembly Floor Session Delaying a Vote on AB 3034

SACRAMENTO, Calif.--(Business Wire)--
"Assembly Member Galgiani and the bi-partisan coalition supporting
Assembly Bill 3034 have done a tremendous job in strengthening the
high-speed train measure on this November's election ballot with
important taxpayer protections and tight cost controls.

Since these improvements were requested and obtained by Governor
Schwarzenegger, with approval by every legislative committee that has
reviewed them, I believe the Assembly will concur with the Senate's
amendments and will pass AB 3034 and the governor will sign it in time
to apply its provisions to the ballot measure.

grounded in public-private financing and guided by fiscal
