Potential Buyers of the Wilshire Plaza Hotel Should Be Aware that a Purchase of the Hotel Means Assuming Liability for 45 Federal Labor Charges Pending Against the Hotel, says UNITE HERE Local 11

LOS ANGELES--(Business Wire)--Prospective buyers of the Wilshire Plaza Hotel should be aware
that, upon purchase, they will become liable for 45 charges of unfair
labor practices brought against the hotel by the federal government.

The General Counsel of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) has
 alleged 45 violations against the Wilshire Plaza Hotel, including:
 1. Failure to make payments to the union's Health and Welfare funds,
     resulting in the loss of health care coverage for employees.
 2. Illegally altering the terms of employment by eliminating the
     pension plan, the paid meal period, and 3 paid holidays and
     refusing to pay vacation time.
 3. Failure to remit union dues to UNITE HERE Local 11.

   "Any potential buyer of the Wilshire Plaza Hotel should be aware
of the 45 pending federal labor charges they will assume liability for
upon acquiring the hotel," says Tom Walsh, Secretary-Treasurer of
