Michael Ellzey Appointed to Chief Executive Officer of the Orange County Great
Park

IRVINE, Calif., Aug. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- The Orange County Great Park
Corporation Board today appointed Michael D. Ellzey to Chief Executive Officer
of the Orange County Great Park. Since February 2008, Ellzey has served as
Deputy Chief Executive Officer where he oversaw the capital planning and
development of the Preview Park, part of the 1,347 acre urban area being
developed into the Orange County Great Park.

Executive Officer of the Orange County Great Park. "I am looking forward to
building the magnificent plan put forward by our Board of Directors into the
first true Great Park of the 21st Century."
Ellzey previously served as Executive Director of the Golden Gate Park
Concourse Authority in San Francisco. Most recently, he was the Associate
Director, of the Resource Management Agency in Tulare County. He was the
Legal Chief in the United States Marine Corps from 1971 to 1975.
"Mike did a terrific job managing the development of the new 27.5 acre
Preview Park," said Larry Agran, Chair Orange County Great Park Board
Corporation. "We are confident he brings the management skills and vision
necessary to create a truly valuable recreational resource for the people of
southern California."
The Orange County Great Park, which is almost twice the size of New York
City's Central Park, will be a major metropolitan park and the focal point of
the redevelopment of the 4,700-acre former Marine Corps Air Station at El
Toro. The Great Park will include extensive natural areas and open space in
addition to recreational and cultural uses.
