Panviva SupportPoint Annual User Conference a Success!
MELBOURNE, Australia, April 7, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- Panviva held its
annual SupportPoint User Conference in Melbourne, Australia on February 21st,
2008. Over 50 delegates attended from a cross section of industry
organisations and Panviva Partners.
The highlight of the event was the announcement of the limited release of
SupportPoint 7.0 Alpha version. SupportPoint 7.0 is a major version release
due for go-live in the third quarter of 2008. It features a host of
functional improvements, particularly for content developers. Just as
important, it's a platform enhancement that will allow SupportPoint to branch
out into exciting new areas of functionality to meet the needs of
organisations managing call center and back office operations.
Attendees at the conference also heard case studies from key SupportPoint
users such as Austar.
"This event is an excellent opportunity for SupportPoint users to network,
learn from each others' experiences with SupportPoint, hear the latest
directions for the product and the emerging trends for performance support and
knowledge management," said Ken LeHunt, Panviva's Business Development
Manager.
The keynote address was delivered by Nigel Paine, former Head of People
Development for the BBC. Nigel gave a thought provoking presentation on the
ways in which learning is a two-way process, requiring learners, teachers and
sources of business knowledge in order to increase organisational competence.
