LOS ANGELES--(Business Wire)--Forget the life-size cardboard cutouts you see at your local movie
emporiums. For its upcoming romantic comedy "27 DRESSES," Twentieth
Century Fox is bringing a new dimension to film promotions. The studio
is introducing the first-ever LIVE STANDEES - 27 models at 27
specially-selected locations across the country, wearing
specially-made bridesmaid dresses adorned with the film's title and
credits. (The dresses were inspired by the film's poster, in which
star Katherine Heigl wears the special garb.)

The date of this history-making event? That would be
December...27, when the studio holds sneak previews of the movie at
selected theaters.

Katherine Heigl is always a bridesmaid but never a bride in the
romantic comedy 27 DRESSES. From the screenwriter of "The Devil Wears
Prada," 27 DRESSES centers on Jane (Heigl), an idealistic, romantic
and completely selfless woman...a perennial bridal attendant whose own
happy ending seems nowhere in sight. But when younger sister Tess
captures the heart of Jane's boss - with whom she is secretly in love
- Jane begins to reexamine her "always-a-bridesmaid...." lifestyle.
