Pocket-sized router delivers nationwide WiFi access by leveraging Cellular
Networks

SAN JOSE, Calif., Dec. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- CradlePoint, Inc., announced
today the availability of the PHS300 -- a pocket-size, battery powered,
Personal Hotspot (PHS) that lets mobile broadband subscribers extend Internet
access to any WiFi enabled device and share connectivity with friends and
colleagues.
Powered by CradlePoint's unique WiPipe(TM) technology, the PHS300 is
highly intuitive and requires no special software to enable easy broadband
access via WiFi on PC's, PDA's, MP3 players, game devices, etc.
Similar in function to a home router, when combined with a 3G USB Cellular
modem or 3G handset, the PHS automatically generates a secure, personal
hotspot that follows subscribers wherever they go within coverage of their
mobile broadband network.
"With the PHS300, shared Internet access is simple and available at higher
speeds with virtually unlimited coverage", said Gary Oliverio, VP Marketing
and Co-Founder of CradlePoint, Inc. "Plugging a phone or modem into the PHS
creates an instant hotspot for consumers and enterprises that is flexible,
reliable and secure." With the PHS300, customers can:

-- Get Broadband speeds over WiFi anywhere within their Cellular coverage
-- Connect from any WiFi capable device.
-- Set up an open or secure network in any fixed or mobile location
-- Share their Mobile Broadband account access with friends and
        colleagues

CradlePoint's patent pending WiPipe(TM) technology also incorporates
features that position WiFi as an acceptable and scalable business proposition
for wireless carriers by extending their network reach to an ever-expanding
list of WiFi enabled business and consumer devices.
Starting today, the Personal Hotspot will be available with support for a
number of USB Modems from Sierra Wireless, Novatel Wireless, and Franklin
Wireless. Data plans on these modems are available from Sprint and Verizon.
In addition, select Cellular phones, PDA, and Blackberry devices can also be
linked to the PHS300 to provide instant Internet access, provided that a
'Tethered Data' or 'Phone-as-Modem' data plan is activated. Announcements for
compatibility with other devices and carriers are forthcoming. The PHS is
available at an MSRP of $179 and comes with an AC adapter and user-replaceable
Li Ion battery.
Customers can visit www.cradlepoint.com for more information about
device compatibility and where to purchase.
