WHAT: The announcement of a pilot project that uses chilled
ammonia to capture carbon dioxide (CO2). The project
will capture CO2 from a portion of coal-fueled boiler
flue gas at a We Energies 1,210-megawatt power plant in
               Wisconsin.

WHY: As the country and electric utility sector look to
reduce carbon emissions, research and development of
new technologies are critical steps in meeting the twin
challenges of increasing demand and reducing emissions.
This project is an essential step in the R&D process
               that may lead to commercialization.
