                             Congress West
LOS ANGELES--(Business Wire)--
At a time when insights into investing strategies and global
financial markets are more valuable than ever, Schwartz-Tilson
Information, Inc. today announced that it will host the third annual
Value Investing Congress West on May 6th & 7th, 2008.

The Value Investing Congress is the platform of choice for today's
best known value investors to discuss their investing philosophies and
favorite stock picks. Stock recommendations made at last year's Value
Investing Congress West that generated significant returns for
attendees included Mark Sellers' favorite stock at the time, Contango,
which has more than doubled, Tom Russo's pick of Nestle, up 23%, and
Robert Hagstrom's recommendation of Amazon.com, up 18%.

Last November's Value Investing Congress in New York saw
enormously profitable recommendations from prominent investors such as
Pershing Square's Bill Ackman, who explained why he was short MBIA and
Ambac, and Greenlight Capital's David Einhorn, who discussed his
favorite short idea, Lehman Brothers.

The upcoming Value Investing Congress West will feature returning
speakers such as Mohnish Pabrai and Mark Sellers, as well as many
fresh new voices with outstanding long-term investment track records.
As always, there will be ample time for attendees to ask questions of
every speaker.

The complete speaker lineup at the 3rd Annual Value Investing
Congress West includes:

-- Jeff Bronchick, Reed Conner & Birdwell, LLC

   -- Mohnish Pabrai, Pabrai Funds

-- Mark Sellers, Sellers Capital Fund

-- Steven Romick, First Pacific Advisors

-- Zeke Ashton, Centaur Capital Partners

-- Atticus Lowe, West Coast Asset Management

-- Robert Hagstrom, Legg Mason Growth Trust

-- Lance Helfert, West Coast Asset Management

-- Vitaliy N. Katsenelson, Investment Management Associates

-- Kenneth Shubin Stein, Spencer Capital Management

   -- Randall Abramson, Trapeze Capital

-- Aaron Edelheit, Sabre Value Management

   -- Glenn Tongue, T2 Partners

-- Whitney Tilson, T2 Partners and Value Investor Insight

The day before the Congress, investors will have the opportunity
to participate in a Pre-Congress workshop focusing on strategies that
will enable them to become more successful at analyzing companies and
identifying promising value opportunities. On May 5th, Whitney Tilson
and Glenn Tongue of T2 Partners will teach An Advanced Seminar on
Value Investing: How to Decipher Financial Statements, Avoid Value
Traps and Pick Investment Winners. Past participants have reaped great
benefits from this intensive workshop, describing it as "an investment
that pays for itself" with information that can be "immediately put to
use."

"Volatile times like these are when the wisdom and investment
ideas of some of the greatest investors are most valuable," said
Whitney Tilson, the co-founder of the Value Investing Congress, the
founder of hedge fund firm T2 Partners, and also a regular columnist
for the Financial Times. "The roster of extraordinary value investors
speaking at the Value Investing Congress West will share with us how
they are navigating through this perilous market and which stocks they
are buying now. "

"The Value Investing Congress West is an unparalleled opportunity
for members of the value investing community to learn from one another
and discuss the latest techniques and ideas that will enable them to
beat the markets," said Value Investing Congress co-founder John
Schwartz. "The Congress is ideally scheduled for the most serious
value investors, in between Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway annual
meeting and Charlie Munger's yearly Wesco meeting in Pasadena," added
Schwartz. Arrangements have been made for conference participants to
attend the Wesco meeting immediately following the Congress.
