WINS "PLUS COMPANY OF THE YEAR" AWARD

Sprue Aegis plc ("Sprue Aegis" or the "Company"; Plus-quoted: SPRP), the
designer, manufacturer and distributor of the FireAngel range of innovative
safety products, announces that it has won the "PLUS Company of the Year"
category in Growth Company's 2009 Awards. These awards, now in their ninth
year, are conducted by Growth Company Investor, the leading investment magazine
that focuses on small quoted companies.

The awards are completely impartial, based on comprehensive qualitative
research focusing on earnings, sales and share price improvement during the
past year. As such, the results reflect the quality and achievement of growing
companies quoted on PLUS Markets; Sprue Aegis was one of five PLUS-quoted
companies to be shortlisted. The judging panel comprised a number of
influential figures within the UK small cap investment community, including
fund managers, analysts, corporate advisers and financial journalists.
