  NEW YORK, NY, Jul 13 (MARKET WIRE) --
MILANO UNICA, the Italian Textile Fair "par excellence," will be
presenting the new Trends for the fall/winter 2010-11 season. The
presentation will take place at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel on Tuesday,
July 14th at 9 am. By invitation.

    The presentation panel will be conducted by trend expert Angelo Uslenghi;
Alberto Jelmini, president of Moda In; Pier Luigi Loro Piana, president of
MILANO UNICA; and Aniello Musella, Executive director, Italian Trade
Commission.

    Among the themes that will be discussed is Hybridization.

    "Hybridization is a current social tendency seen today, even in the
textile-accessories sector. New materials and fabrics are the result of
hybridization -- inventive blends of natural animal and vegetable fibers,"
confirms Uslenghi.

    Details, characterized by unending imagination and chromatic and material
movements, colors gently shaded into fabrics, digital and screen-printing
technics for prints and nanotechnology will be other themes presented.

    An important new element of this edition of MILANO UNICA will be the
launch of its first fashion show, a new project called "On Stage." Pier
Luigi Loro Piana is very proud to be the first to offer this additional
feature to visitors of the fair. On Stage will allow ten emerging
designers from around the world to present their creations for the first
time in a runway show. Australian Wool Innovation has signed on as a
sponsor of On Stage. MILANO UNICA's committee and Vogue Italia editor in
chief, Franca Sozzani, chose the designers.

    The designers are Alexis Mabille from France; Blaak Homme from the UK;
Charles Anastase from France/UK; Emilio de la Morena from Spain/UK;
Maurizio Miri, Ilaria Nistri and Sara Lanzi from Italy; Suzuki Takayuki
from Japan; Thomas Engel Hart from USA; and Todd Lynn from Canada. The
designers will each have their own stand to receive visitors at the fair.

    The presentation will kick off the IX Edition of the MILANO UNICA
Tradeshow, which will run from September 8th through the 11th 2009 at the
Portello - Fieramilanocity in Milan, Italy.
