HARRISONBURG, Va. & ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates--(Business Wire)--
The Institute of Certified Professional Managers (ICPM), a leading management
development and leadership educator, and Sun Learning Systems (SLS), a
leadership training company, announced today they have awarded the Certified
Manager (CM)TM credential to several key managers at Zakum Development Company
(ZADCO) at an event held late last month.

Initiated in June, 2008, 15 managers began an extensive 12-month CM leadership
training program conducted by SLS - a local gulf coast council (GCC) training
partner for ICPM. Having completed the CM Program requirements late last month,
an awards ceremony was held to honor the newly certified managers. Present at
the event were ZADCO executives Jumaa O. Al Mehairi, Badr Al Mansoori, and Kaem
Al Kyoumi who distributed the CM certificates and recognized the accomplishments
of the ZADCO managers.

Instituted to give ZADCO managers an opportunity to enhance their leadership and
management skills, the CM Program allows managers to apply program principles on
the job; hence increasing job performance and managerial effectiveness.

Speaking at the event, Jumaa O. Al Mehairi, Assistant General Manager of ZADCO,
stated, "We are one of the best oilfield development and hydrocarbon production
companies in the world. However, as a part of our corporate mission and goals,
we are continually striving to improve our management and leadership in the
organization. To accomplish this, we are committed to the continuous development
of our management team through programs such as the CM certification."

Held to a high standard of performance, ZADCO employees are encouraged to
enhance their leadership skills through training and development. As a part of
this performance standard, the CM certification has now become a top priority
for the ZADCO Training and Development Department.

"We have already seen how the CM program has helped many of our managers in
their leadership performance," said Ahmed Faraj Al Lardhi, CM, Training and
Development Team Leader at ZADCO. "The CM Program has added value in the
workplace, maximizing our return on investment."
