Solution Allows Capture, Extraction and Classification of Data from More Than
600,000 Invoices Originating Annually from 11 Global Service Support Sites

IRVINE, Calif.--(Business Wire)--
Kofax plc (LSE: KFX), the leading provider of document driven business process
automation solutions, today announced it will provide one of the world`s largest
fast food franchise restaurant chains based in the U.S. with a distributed
capture solution to automate its invoice processing. The value of the contract
to Kofax is more than $453,000.

The organization will use Kofax software to capture and extract data from more
than 600,000 incoming paper invoices received annually in one of six languages
at 11 of the company`s global support center sites. The resulting data will be
transformed into structured electronic information and then exported into a
centralized SAP invoice management system.

Capturing documents remotely will enable the company to improve operational
efficiency and data accuracy by reducing labor-intensive, manual processing
tasks. It will also accelerate processing and turnaround times, enabling the
company to improve cash management, maintain vendor relationships and leverage
early payment discounts.

"Large global restaurant chains and franchise organizations recognize that
electronically capturing and processing invoices where they originate reduces
operational costs and improves profitability," said Alan Kerr, Executive Vice
President of Field Operations at Kofax. "Manual invoice processing is
time-consuming and error prone, especially in complex distributed environments.
By automating these processes, we allow our customers to take costs out of their
operations and redeploy staff to other essential functions, leading to increased
productivity and faster ROI."
