INTERNET-BASED COLLISIONLINK(R) AND PARTS MARKETING ADMINISTRATION OFFERS OE
PARTS AS A NON-OE ALTERNATIVE FOR COLLISION REPAIRS
RICHFIELD, Ohio, Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- OEConnection LLC announced today that
Nissan North America, Inc. has selected OEConnection's CollisionLink
Internet-based parts ordering and fulfillment solution for Nissan and Infiniti
dealerships and their collision shop customers nationwide. This agreement
includes CollisionLink's Parts Marketing Administration (PMA) advanced program
marketing technology, which automates and manages automaker parts programs.
PMA allows dealerships and collision repairers to access automaker incentives
and parts promotions from within CollisionLink, so dealers can provide OE
parts as an alternative to non-OE parts at competitive prices.

CollisionLink is an all-makes, all-models, online part ordering and
fulfillment solution endorsed by multiple automakers nationally. Nissan North
America joins four other automakers already using OEConnection's PMA
technology to manage their parts marketing programs through CollisionLink:
American Honda, Chrysler, Ford Motor Company and General Motors.
"We are delighted to be working with Nissan North America in implementing
their collision wholesale strategy," said Mark Tomasetti, OEConnection Senior
VP and Chief Commercial Officer. "Our technology combined with their parts
marketing savvy creates a winning situation for Nissan, their dealerships, and
their dealership customers. This relationship with Nissan further
substantiates the business value and importance of CollisionLink and PMA to
the marketplace."
CollisionLink was introduced to the market in 2001, and has now been adopted
by more than 75% of large wholesale dealerships in the U.S., as well as
thousands of collision shops nationwide. Dealerships and collision shops
using CollisionLink indicate they have been able to:
-- Service shops better and faster by reducing - and frequently
eliminating
- non- productive, order-taking phone time and order data entry
-- Reduce parts returns using CollisionLink's VIN-verified parts orders
-- Offer and sell more OE parts at competitive non-OE pricing using
automaker parts programs
-- Improve customer satisfaction.
OEConnection's Bill Lopez, Director of Collision Business Solutions said,
"Nissan and Infiniti dealers have been selling parts online with CollisionLink
for years. This new arrangement underscores Nissan's strategy to support
their dealerships and their shop customers as paramount. CollisionLink and
PMA are winning solutions for everyone: for Nissan to automatically and easily
manage program parts through CollisionLink; for dealerships to process parts
orders and sell Nissan parts with automaker support; for collision shops to
easily obtain OE parts at competitive pricing; and most of all for Nissan
vehicle drivers, who get better quality parts for car repairs."
Nissan North America's parts marketing program will begin on November 2, and
will be available at that time to all shops purchasing parts through
CollisionLink. For Nissan North America's program parts, CollisionLink brings
visibility and awareness to Nissan and Infiniti dealerships and their body
shops. The parts promotions and incentives are seamlessly integrated into
CollisionLink, enabling shops to put more OE parts on customers' vehicles
while managing average repair cost.
The current CollisionLink version was introduced earlier this year, and has
grown to include thousands of daily transactions processing millions of
dollars of online orders. CollisionLink is available to auto dealerships and
collision repair facilities nationwide. CollisionLink's enhanced dealer
version includes reporting with analysis tools to identify new business growth
opportunities.
