CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Oct. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Author Norma Roth is not accepting
the supposed inevitability of losing brainpower that comes with entering "that
age." In her new book, Aging Gracefully with Dignity, Integrity & Spunk
Intact: Aging Defiantly: Including Ten Tips to Keep People Off Your Back
(published by AuthorHouse), Roth explains how panicked she became when she
thought about "entering that age."

Using humor and hypothesis, Roth debunks the myths of being 55 and older, and
shares her tips for enjoying life to the fullest. As Roth walks the reader
through the fears of old age, she gives reminders that getting old is
something that happens to everyone. By chapter eight, Roth has the reader past
the panic stage and into taking charge of where their life is going.

Roth writes:

You have been all too willing to play a game that more and more does not
comport with scientific and medical fact. If your goal is to maximize your
opportunities in this age of expanding opportunities for full participation in
the world you live in - your world - then your inquiry must simply be: "How
can I take control of situations that interfere with furthering my own
interests and development?" "How can I break away from the fears and panic,
push aside the concerns of entering that age by handling them?"

Her response is short and simple: Get on with your life - rich in
possibilities.

In the introduction to part two of Aging Gracefully with Dignity, Integrity &
Spunk Intact: Aging Defiantly, the age of the Silver Generation begins as
Norma shows the reader how to build on their strengths and discover the hidden
treasures of "that age."

About the Author: Norma Roth grew up in the boroughs of New York and was
educated in the public school system through high school. She graduated from
Hunter College with a major in English and a minor in education. She has a

Law School in Boston. She is a lawyer, educator and now a writer. Roth is
married with 2 sons and 4 grandchildren. She plays tennis and enjoys
cross-country skiing. She plays the piano and likes to hike. Although she does
not always reach the top of the mountain, the experience is nonetheless
exhilarating.
