IIJ Group Opens New Shinsaibashi Data Center

TOKYO--(Business Wire)--Internet Initiative Japan Inc. (IIJ, NASDAQ: IIJI, TSE1: 3774),one of Japan's leading Internet access and comprehensive networksolutions providers, and Net Care, Inc., the IIJ Group contact centerand network operation outsourcing company, today announced the openingof the new Shinsaibashi Data Center, which will begin operations inJuly 2008. Corporate IT investment is growing, and both large andmedium-sized enterprises start to actively utilize data centers forinformation systems outsourcing. As data center usage has increased inrecent years, so has the need for remote backup sites outside ofTokyo, which can be used for disaster recovery and businesscontinuation plans. The Shinsaibashi Data Center is IIJ's fourteenth (*), and it wasopened in Osaka, one of the highest demand centers in the Kansairegion.
