California Center for Advanced Dental Studies Grants Cosmetic Dentistry Scholarships in the UK
LONDON, May 21 (MARKET WIRE) --
The California Center for Advanced Dental Studies (CCADS) announces the
completion of its first series of scholarship grants in the United Kingdom. Dr.
Thomas Dudney, DMD and Program Director of CCADS, stated, "We were very pleased
to be able to grant scholarships to 12 dentists in the UK as part of our
continuing education grant program on cosmetic dentistry. The course is part
of a three-program series meant to improve not only the doctor's clinical
skills and knowledge regarding cosmetic dentistry, but also their dental
practice as a whole, and get the entire team motivated together to make changes
throughout the practice."
The CCADS live patient hands-on program involving 12 dentists on
scholarships was held over two weekends. The first weekend, "Prep
Weekend,"was April 4-5, 2008, and the second, "Seat Weekend," was April 25-26,
2008.The clinical portion of the course was held at the London Dental Studio on
Warwick Way, London. This practice/facility is owned by Dr. Balwant
Vekariaand Dr. Azhar Sheikh. The lecture portion was held at the Grosvenor
Hotel.
According to Dr. Ken Harris of Sunderland, a Mentor Instructor with CCADS,

completed the program now have a different perspective on their practice."
The California Center for Advanced Dental Studies (CCADS) is a non-profit
organization focused on changing the way postgraduate dental education is
offered to dentists. CCADS is led by Program Director, Dr. Thomas Dudney,
and has mentors and instructors currently conducting study clubs and clinical
programs related to cosmetic dentistry across North America and the UK.
