CBOE's equities exchange reopens after halt

NEW YORK, July 9 (Reuters) - The Chicago Board Options Exchange's stock exchange reopened after a systems problem halted equities trading earlier on Thursday, a spokesman said.

"Stock trading was halted at 8:56 a.m. central time (1356 GMT) at the CBOE stock exchange due to a systems problem. The CBSX has reopened at 9:40 a.m central time," a CBOE spokesman said. No other details were available.
