Thai stocks up 1 pct after Wall St rally

BANGKOK, Oct 1 (Reuters) - Thai stocks .SETI rose 1 percent in early trade on Wednesday, led by rises in big-cap energy shares and banks after Wall Street rallied on hopes for the revival of a financial bailout package in Washington.

At 0301 GMT, the benchmark SET index was at 602.55, up 1.03 percent. It opened up 0.67 percent at 600.52. Top oil and gas firm PTT (PTT.BK) was up 1.75 percent, while Bangkok Bank BBL.BK, the largest lender, was up 0.98 percent.
