Thai stocks seen rising, BankThai in focus
BANGKOK, June 24 (Reuters) - Thai stocks are expected to rise slightly on Tuesday with domestic funds buying big-caps for end-of-quarter window dressing, although political tensions will continue to weigh, dealers said.
Investors could pick up banks .SETB after they reported stronger net loans in May and as quarterly results approach, they said.
Resistance on the main index .SETI is expected at 773-775 points and support at 760-762 points, the dealers added.
On Monday, the benchmark SET index closed unchanged at 768.90 points.

STOCKS AND FACTORS TO WATCH
- BankThai BT.BK
Thailand's ninth-largest lender should remain in the spotlight after the Finance Minister Surapong Suebwonglee said he had not got a proposal from the central bank's bailout arm to extend its limit on foreign shareholding, saying he needed more time to review the transaction.
His comment came after Malaysia's CIMB (BUCM.KL) agreed to
buy a 42 percent stake in the small Thai lender for 5.9 billion
baht ($177 million) and planned to buy the shares from other
shareholders at the acquisition price of 2.10 baht.
