MEXICO CITY, Nov 19 (Reuters) - Billionaire Bill Gates' investment firm, Cascade Investment LLC, has increased its stakes in two Mexican beverage companies, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Cascade more than doubled its position in Coca Cola Femsa (KOFL.MX)(KOF.N), the world's second-largest bottler of Coca-Cola drinks, to 857,128 shares as of Sept. 30.

The same SEC filing, released last week, showed that Cascade owned 57 percent more of shares of Fomento Economico Mexicano SAB de CV (FMSAUBD.MX)(FMX.N) at the end of September compared with June.

Cascade owns about 21 million shares of Fomento Economico Mexicano, which along with Coca-Cola Co (KO.N) controls Coca-Cola Femsa.

Cascade also owns 19.7 million shares of Mexican broadcaster Grupo Televisa (TV.N)(TLVACPO.MX), but the holding remained unchanged from June through September. (Reporting by Gabriela Lopez and Cyntia Barrera Diaz; editing by Jeffrey Benkoe)
