Peltz's Trian reports smaller stake in Dr Pepper Snapple

NEW YORK, June 26 (Reuters) - Trian Fund Management cut its stake in Dr Pepper Snapple Group Inc (DPS.N) to 5.58 percent from 7.18 percent, according to a securities filing on Friday.

The fund run by billionaire investor Nelson Peltz said in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that it owns about 14.2 million shares of the soft drink maker, following a series of transactions made this month.

In December 2008, the fund owned about 18.2 million shares. (Reporting by Martinne Geller; Editing by Derek Caney)
