ST PETERSBURG, June 6 (Reuters) - Russian investment bank Troika Dialog has invited Volvo (VOLVb.ST), Iveco and Daimler (DAIGn.DE) to bid for its minority stake in truck maker Kamaz (KMAZ.MM), the bank's chairman told Reuters on Friday.

Andrei Sharonov declined give a timeframe for the negotiations or speculate on price.

"They are among those who we invited. The project is at an early stage at the moment. They are not the only ones who were invited," he said.

Sources close to Kamaz have said the company is looking to sell a minority stake to a strategic investor as one alternative for the firm's development. Other options were a secondary public offering of shares and a merger with Belarussian truck manufacturer MAZ. (Reporting by Dmitry Sergeev; Writing by Simon Shuster; Editing by David Holmes)
