GENERAL AND POLITICS

- After eight-hour-long parliament debates on Thursday, parliament will vote a no-confidence motion against the government today (Dnevnik, Pari, 24 Chasa, Standart, Sega, Duma, Klasa, Trud).

ECONOMY

- Some 3.2 billion euros ($4.74 billion) of European Union funds are planned to subsidise rural regions until 2013, the agriculture minister says (Dnevnik, Sega, Duma).

PARI - Bulgarian businessmen have invested 500,000 euros in neighbouring Serbia last year, and they say they plan further investment but fear political instability.

- Some 220,000 Bulgarians do not want to work or look for a job, statistics office data shows (24 Chasa, Dnevnik).

BUSINESS

PARI - Leading brewery Zagorka says its profit was 8.2 million euros in 2007, up 36 percent from a year ago. Zagorka plans to invest 14 million euros to expand its capacity this year.

- Beverage producer Devin DEVIN.BB eyes acquisitions of eleven companies in Bulgaria, Greece, Macedonia, Serbia and Romania (Pari, Monitor).

PARI - Italy's Enel (ENEI.MI) said it plans to invest 25 million euros in a new gypsum plant near the Maritsa East Three power thermal plant.
