HELSINKI, Jan 23 (Reuters) - Finnish security software maker F-Secure (FSC1V.HE) said on Wednesday it had partnered with the cellphone maker Sony Ericsson (ERICb.ST)(6758.T) to supply mobile security to its smartphones.

F-Secure said it had developed a trial version of its mobile security product for UIQ -- a joint venture between Sony Ericsson and Motorola (MOT.N) for the mobile interface.

It already offers a similar product for rival cellphone software, including Nokia's (NOK1V.HE) S60 and Microsoft's (MSFT.O) Windows Mobile.

F-Secure said in its third-quarter earnings report the malware risk for smartphone users was still fairly low but that it saw its mobile security business growing in revenue, although more slowly than anticipated in early 2007. (Reporting by Sami Torma; Editing by Paul Bolding)
