MILAN, July 14 (Reuters) - Italian motoryacht maker Aicon (BW1.MI) reported stronger sales and margins in the third quarter but posted a net loss of 2.6 million euros ($3.6 million) compared with a profit of 3.1 million in the same period a year ago.

It said third quarter sales were 10.2 million euros, compared with 12.8 million in the first half, while third quarter EBITDA was 155,000 euros, compared with a loss of 3.6 million in the first six months.

Aicon said said it saw further signs of improvement in its results in the fourth quarter.

"Despite the market crisis that still produces negative effects in all sectors of the nautical (market), Aicon has registered an improvement in sales and in margins," the company said. (Reporting by Nigel Tutt)
