US FTC Chairman Majoras to leave next month - WSJ
NEW YORK, Feb 27 (Reuters) - U.S. Federal Trade Commission Chairman Deborah Platt Majoras plans to resign next month, according to a report on Wednesday in the Wall Street Journal.
Majoras is likely to be replaced by William Kovacic, who serves as one of the U.S. regulator's five commissioners, the paper said.
Citing "antitrust lawyers," the Journal said Majoras is expected to be named vice president and general counsel at consumer products company Procter & Gamble (PG.N).
Officials from the FTC and P&G could not immediately be reached for comment.
