 Company: FAW Car Co 000800.SZ is a unit of one of China's
three largest auto makers, First Automotive Works, also known as
FAW. It produces the self-developed Red Flag cars once favoured
by Communist Party cadres. It also makes Mazda Motor's (7261.T: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz)
Mazda6 mid-sized sedans.
 Note: The quarterly results were unaudited and compiled under
domestic accounting standards, published on Monday.
 The company said its total vehicle sales rose more than 70
percent in the quarter from the same period a year earlier to
more than 28,000 units, while it continued a cost-cutting drive
to bolster profitability.
 *The comparative net asset per share figure is for Dec. 31,
2007.
